with Claudia because she’d just be distracted thinking about how much she’d like a candy bar. --Or just hold up a candy wrapper and she'd get distracted

I really don’t think it’s a big deal if Mallory misses a meeting or two because she has a writing class--I don't think so either. I thought that was the whole point in an "Alternate Officer". Somebody can't make a meeting and the AO fills in for that person. I know Mallory and Jessi don't really have official duties so it's not like the AO needs to fill in for their position

I think a lot of kids would've related more to that storyline instead of "I'm just too fucking lazy to try, to pay attention, etc."
I knew a LOT of kids like her though. My brother was one of them. Kids who are capable, tested negatory on LDs, but who didn't care. In Ann's head, chances are an LD is as far from reality as Susan being representative of autism. Ann's handling of an LD would probably make it as scary as autism or diabetes.
Anyway, Claudia is busy glaring at a protractor because she has no idea how to use it. She has no idea how to use it, why she’d need to use it, what an angle is, and why she’d need to measure it.
Angles are vitally important in painting if you want to do it well.
Sometimes I wonder if she’s capable of grasping the material, but she has to work a bit harder to do so and doesn’t understand it.
My dyslexic mother graduated top of her nursing class. Having to work harder than someone else isn't an excuse. Only one person has to work the least. Everyone else has someone they have to work harder than because that's how it works.
Did any of you guys have homeroom? I didn’t.
I didn't, and I don't know what the point is. Attendance was taken in each class since a kid being in one class doesn't mean they won't ditch the next, and announcements were ready by the teacher at the beginning of 2nd period, which took all of three minutes.
It’d be one thing if she was honestly trying and the class was just moving along too quickly for

I feel like Kristy would come back from vacation expecting the BSC to be falling apart without her and then be shocked when it turns out they can run fine without her. That literally happened in a recent snark.
It would be hilarious if the BSC liked Abby better as president because she wasn’t a tyrant. But I feel like if they mentioned it, Kristy would throw a tantrum. Actually, she’d probably try to disband the BSC. That literally happened in a recent snark. Kristy's Worst Idea.
Yep, that was the whole reason it happened. Kristy expected to find her friends begging her to never leave again, the entire club to have fallen apart. But it didn't. And Kristy couldn't handle it. Everything in that book was Kristy's fault, and it still bugs me that she got away with it.
Claudia is having a difficult time with school, and instead of asking for help or putting in an effort, she’s just like, “I don’t like the subject, so I’m not going to bother
