Kristy's Book part 3 (and I am sorry this part is kind of boring)

Hi, guys I have been insanely stressed studying for midterms but I am here now with another part. It wasn't that snark-worthy so sorry if this is a little boring :/

One day you have a dad and the next he's just gone. I actually feel bad for Kristy. --Agreed. It's just shitty all the way around. And like I've said on other snarks, this was actually one thing the series did that I liked. I like how the cult members have different family backgrounds instead of all the characters having "Leave it to Beaver" type families ( ... )

Patrick really needs his ass kicked for what he did to his kids. And it certainly wasn't a one time thing with the head fucks.

Nope, he came back to mess with Kristy and then the crap later when he forced them to come to his wedding except David Michael. Someone really should have kicked his ass, repeatedly.

Tomato juice does work on skunk spray. I had to do it once. If you don't have tomato juice, paste and ketchup also work.

This part is a little sad because Kristy tells us that her dad left the family. Right after David Michael is born, too.

I still think Elizabeth was bonus the milk man. Remember how Patrick ignored DM later too?

This is actually the kind of thing that should be published in a book, maybe even to help kids who are going through the same thing. Kristy wonders what she did wrong that her dad would leave her. Guys, this is SAD.

I've wondered before how Ann can write books like this that are surprisingly well done, then drop the fucking hammer on autism, childhood chubbiness, and everything else in the regular series. She didn't even handle adoption and RAD and adaption to a new culture well at all in Yours Turly, Shirley

Seven isn't that old for a dog.

For a Great Dane, but not a collie.

for David Michael's bottle but doesn't he drink breast milk, and if not, formula? When this book was written, formula companies were on a rampage promoting formula as being as good as or even better than breastmilk (to be entirely frank, it's ( ... )

Yours Turly Shirley is such a horrible book. She knows nothing about adoption. It was even worse than the adoption of Emily Michelle.

In terms of the formula thing what I meant was they were short on regular milk and said they had used it on David Michael's bottle but I didn't think they would use regular milk for the bottle and would instrad use either breast milk or formula.

At least Emily Michelle was a barely verbal toddler. But even then, there are challenges. I have several friends who've adopted babies and toddlers from overseas, and RAD is an issue for ALL of them. Those earliest years are more vital than they're given credit for ( ... )
