Yeah, I'm still alive.  Most of you are on FB now which doesn't necessarily obsolete LJ,

I just haven't really had much to say about personal stuff of late.

Surprised there wasn't more of a nerd-gasm with Smallville's 2-Hour special last night with the JSA.
Loved it, though all the old timer's didn't really seem that old.

I've pretty much given up on Lord of the Rings Online.  The last big expansion (Mines of Moria) turned it into a big grindfest and have pretty much lost all interest, which really sucks.  I'm an Officer in one of the larger kinships and people have been dropping like flies for numerous reasons ( Read more... )

Facebook offers more instant gratification than LJ, but the depth of conversation here is so much more.  Even if it's just Ben musing that "beneath the true South Pole, there exists a frozen sturgeon.".

Went and saw the new movie today. Overall I was pretty impressed with the new cast and direction.  Typically whenever Star Trek dabbles around with Time Travel it's usually handled badly, yet in this case it came off well and was necessary for the reboot of the series ( Read more... )

For those interested, the next season of FMA is airing in Japan. The first 5-6 episodes are quick recaps and a bit of a series reboot. Supposedly there will be some changes from the original season to bring it in line with the Manga. So far I find the first 2 episodes a bit disappointing as FMA is the most successful series in the past 5 years ( Read more... )

Haven't had much to post about lately, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Work has been going okay so far. Nearly 3 months now, time really flies when you're busy. Had just taken my Saturn in to have the Clutch replaced which ended up being a LOT more expensive than the original quote. At least the car is super responsive again ( Read more... )
