 So, if you were not one of the lucky individiuals to get a earful of highpitched crying and ranting last Wednesday, I did not get the job. And it was because of the license thing. So, I feel like the world's biggest loser. I know it takes time and everything but seriously: SOMEBODY GIVE ME A FUCKING JOB ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! I'm broke!!! I'm bored

Please sista...you haven't even had it bad yet. I've been out of school for nearly 3 years and I haven't found a real job yet. I'm a fucking temp! I have no rights! And if somebody wants me, they can PURCHASE me from my temp agency. Didn't we fight a war to free the temps or something?

Sorry to hear about the job. Where are you at as far as school goes? I think there are some openings at my company in your area (not sure if they are still open) but you need a BA. When you are looking for jobs in the Social Services, most of the put a BA as a prerequisite, but it doesn't hurt to check anyway. These positions are hard to fill and a lot of places will hire someone who's completing a degree in the field even before they are finished.
You could also look into working for a day service program or Residential provider for people with DD. If you are still in the Laporte area, you can check out Michiana Resources in Michigan City or a company called Parents and Friends Inc. The pay wouldn't be huge, but the hours are flexible and I think anyone working in Psychology/Social Work should spend some time working with the DD population. If you are willing to commute some (like to Valpo) I could give you a bunch of different companies in the area you could check out.
