In case anyone is wondering, the reason I haven't posted here in a while isn't because I'm living it up on facebook or because I am too busy.  I really just don't have anything to say to the world.

I'm awake and about to go to work.  And all I can think about is how much I hate that place and how it's not leading me anywhere that I want to go in life.  I get nothing out of it besides a paycheck, and although I desperately need the money, I don't find that very motivational.

I went to the New Beverly and saw double features two nights in a row!  Thursday night, Devon and I went to a very special edition of the Grindhouse screenings hosted by these guys who basically have their own similar screenings in Texas.  We saw Julie Darling and Poor Pretty Eddie.  There was a third feature, but we didn't get to stay because the  ( Read more... )

I've had a very productive day so far.  I deposited my check in the Wamu ATM.  Then I bought and installed a new headlight on my car, which needs an oil change.  Then I showered and got my hair cut.  Then I was up early enough to get breakfast at Lucy's, a 24 hour Mexican drive-through.  I also got some pineapple tamales because they're awesome.  ( Read more... )

Both of the other temps I worked with were "let go" this week; the guy was dismissed for being an overly-aggressive jerk and the girl for being a pussy who fainted in the ladies' room.  So I'm the only temp left, which probably makes me look like a war hero to my temp agency. I still hate my job, but it's nice to know I was the best of the three ( Read more... )

As many of you know, I prefer my food to be ridiculously spicy.  So earlier this week, I ordered and received 2 oz. of dried naga jolokia (loosely translated to "ghost pepper"), which was recently confirmed to be the world's hottest chili pepper.  It's about twice as hot as the world's second hottest pepper, and roughly 200x hotter than jalepeno.  ( Read more... )
