I start a new temp job on Thursday.  It pays well, but it's only for 1-3 months.  I also have an interview with the Police Protective League early next month.  It pays a decent wage and I'd get city employee benefits, so I'm hoping I get it.  Either way, I should be fine for a while once I start getting paid.  Unemployment has thus far given me ( Read more... )

I didn’t watch nearly enough movies last year. We’re talking probably fewer than 60. This year, I’m hoping it’ll be more like 150+.

Anyway, I’ve watched all these movies in the past 4 days, except Wall-E, which I saw around Christmas. I’m unemployed at the moment, and that has a lot to do with it.

Along with my fancy new iPod, I got an iTunes gift card for Christmas.  It's for $25, so I can get a couple albums.  So I was on iTunes and I was searching for bands that I listen to, and they had them because they have nearly everything.  But I couldn't bring myself to buy anything.

Well, Obama won by like a bajillion electoral votes.  Hooray.  He even won the state of Indiana.  So now when I tell people where I was raised, I won't have to add that I lived right outside of Chicago.  But I'll still add that, because it's a fucking hick state.

My 12 boxes of Count Chocula have arrived.  It's even better than I remember it. Even in its current whole grain form, this cereal tastes like sugar-coated candy.

I guess one of the best things about being an adult is that nobody can talk you out of ordering a shit-ton of Count Chocula.
