Man that Geostigma suckerpunched me. :( I like how you made an allusion to so much of the canon though, what with Cloud being in love since forever, only with Zack instead of Tifa, Genesis' little cameo (poor fella), and Zack's death with the rain with a smile on his face.

As for the flow, I think it works. It's mostly told through Zack's eyes, and he's notorious for being a bit scatterbrained and bouncy so it does work for the 'flashing before his eyes' bit.

I almost felt bad giving Sephy and Genesis such small roles. Angeal just came in and omnomnomed up all their screentime!! (er, fictime?)

I am so glad I saw this and decided to read it my gods you made me cry and like lady_elodie pointed out and I noticed how you had canon things in the story but like patched in...oh and the way he died so made me cry again like I did at the end of a certain game...xD

Damn, thanks god I saw the second part of this fic on deviantart, because I hadn't realized that you had already finished it (you might want to add a link at the end of the first part, directing here).

Anyway, that was really, really sad. I didn't think it would turn that way, as it had started really happy and upbeat, but the geostigma crushed me. I kept believing that they would find a cure and I just about cried when they all died one after the other.

But in a way, it's not a so bad thing, as they are together now and I think Zack will be happier that way.

In all honesty, I started out writing this with the intentions of making a happy fic! This story really took on a mind of it's own though and halfway through, I realized that, inevitably, Zack HAD to die. Cloud and Denzel followed soon after (which is ironic, right?) And they did find a cure! It was just. . . a little late. :(
I couldn't let Zack live while his Cloudy was dead! I'm not THAT cruel! (unlike Squeenix, who happily kills everyone dear to Cloud and continues to force him to continue on as an unhappy ball of emo. . .)
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Sorry you had to travel all the way to my pitiful little DA account to finish it! (I'm honestly surprised you found it, haha)
