Last night I had a dream that I was an acting volunteer for a guy who was preaching in my old church. He was talking about how sin can take control of us. A couple of us were given leashes with something invisible on the end holding it up. He asked us to demonstrate what it was like to be pulled by the leash and not being able to stop it.

I think that if you allowed yourself to stretch the boundaries and crash somehow, you really wouldn't learn your lesson. you would just end up farther away from God than you ever meant to be. He wants to protect your heart but He won't force the issue. in my personal life experience, sin is addictive, no matter how much it hurts me or others. you may choose to take the chance and try to find an awakening, but it won't be an awakening of how terrible sin is until you're already trapped in it. it will be an awakening of how sin gives you a rush and your desires just keep growing. I've been trapped before and it's devasating. I'm praying for you, Grace. there are plenty of ways to stretch your life experiences and grow without getting close to what is wrong and unknown. God is, after all, the source of all good and creative force in the world and there is always more to know of Him. :) nothing creative or good in any way comes from what is wrong. I love you!
