I picked my first 2 ripe strawberries off my plants this evening and MY OH MY were they DELISH!!! They were small but they were the sweetest strawberries I've ever eaten. I think I'll be putting in a big ol strawberry patch next spring depending on how much the 9 plants I have produce. I've got lots of green berries and still lots of flower ( Read more... )

They moved up Kal's staple removal... Next Tuesday! We haven't had too much trouble with him messing with them. He only had to wear his cone the first night home and just because we didn't what he'd do. After that we didn't bother cause he left them alone. He has 15 little staples. Definitely feeling a wee bit spry. We have a barricade of file boxes with pillows on top making the wall keeping Kal inside the living room and on carpet and off hardwood abort 2ft tall maybe a little more. We've had so much rain this spring so far and unusually cool temps and now today finally it's 80+ degrees, the guys are off playing in a golf tournament and I'm stuck on Kal Detail. Got to the surgery center at 11:30, Paid the bill and made follow up appointments, then received the do's and don't do's, the meds and the equipment (an Cone which they call an E collar and a body sling. Then we got our doggy back. He was so excited to see us, we hadn't seen him since the Thursday we left for California, so it had been a while. ( Read more... )

Kal is doing great... he gets to come home tomorrow!!!! The Doc said he's doing great, starting to put his toes on the floor and a little weight on the foot. We have a meeting in the morning to get all the instructions and then we'll have the Monster home ( Read more... )

Kal's hip replacement surgery went well. Doc said the artificial hip took them 45 minutes to get into place.. he said it wasn't going anywhere ever and that Kal was going to be good as new. We're looking at a Friday release date though, so it's going to be a long week even though it's already Tuesday night. Even I miss the Munchkin... it's quiet ( Read more... )
