Dude, I'm way more excited for Dawn of War 2 than Starcraft 2. I bought Company of Heroes and the expansion pack, and I play the shit out of it.

I also agree that what WoW suffered a lot from was people "settling" for what the MMO norm was and being blown away by a game that did things slightly better. I don't see anything wrong with demanding the most out of what an MMO experience should be despite their brand or whether or not they were better than other MMO games.

Well, I loved the first 2 Diablo games. The graphics never bothered me because they were just a lot of fun to play. They were simple and hack & slash, but it was fun. I was always disappointed with WoW because I would compare dungeon crawling in it to Diablo, and it would always fall short. Diablo may have been simple and shallow, but it was fun, and that was something I felt WoW lacked a lot of the time.

Anyway, I always hoped that Too Human would be the spiritual successor to Diablo, and it may still be, but I'm happy to hear that an official Diablo 3 has been announced.

Watching all the videos, I like how it looks. Its still the same Diablo, but they've found a way to add more skills to use easily without complicating it. Also, I wasn't really paying attention to what was being said, but are the dungeons still going to be uniquely generated? That really helped with the replay value of the first 2 games.

And you're right to compare the game to a FPS. You could always easily jump into a game on Battle.net, do a quick run through one of the temples or what not, and be done for the day. But at the same time, it was very easy to play for hours and not realize it. Looking forward to the game coming out.

I re-installed Diablo 2 last night, and I don't know what changed, but I the graphics actually don't look as bad as I remember them being. I was playing on Battle.net, and realized that the game I was basically looking for already existed.

Now I'm even more pumped for Diablo III.

I might buy the expansion pack to Diablo 2 and start playing more.
... or Titan Quest!

Yeah, D2 is still a lot of fun. If D3 is as fun as D2, but with better graphics, skills, and locales, I think it'll be gold. I just hope it doesn't take too long to come out. I was looking through some of the art and they have stuff dating back to 2006, so hopefully the game will come out next year.
