More thoughts on Rusty’s birth - 5 months later

Aw, beautiful post!
I remember reading that about birth videos in Birthing From Within. I know a lot of people who have birth videos, and love having them. I'd never heard any downsides of it until reading that... but the advice in the book made a lot of sense. But I really wanted to tape our birth anyway. I resolved to wait a few months, minimum, to watch it (depending on how everything went and how I felt about it all afterward). A few months out, when we were considering watching it, I worried a little that it would show something that I didn't remember or remembered differently than was the reality and wondered how that would make me feel. But once we watched it, everything lined up perfectly to my memory of it! It was very veeeery strange to watch myself go through the experience in third person. But pretty cool too. And I'm so glad we have it now. :P

awww! this was awesome to read! :) and i agree with you on breastfeeding- by far the most difficult thing i have ever done! i was in labor with our baby (who was breech) for 34 hours and that was easier than learning how to BF...it took more work than i was expecting!
