Looks like we caught a break, the Santa Ana has died down. -
San Diego County is on fire
Not much impact on me yet. Yesterday the smoke smell was strong and you could see a bit of ash blowing around. Today the micro climate here was not Santa Ana like. What little wind there was, was from the west, if that continues maybe I won't have to evacuate tomorrow ( Read more... ) -
Leaving on a jet plane.
I'm looking forward to getting back home after a month on the road. Not that I've given-up on India or anything, things are already in the works to bring me back next year. -

Sweet Paan
Good for the digestion (and I could use some of that the last two weeks), though at first it may taste as if you are chewing on nag champa incense, personally, I like it. -
India won the Cricket World Cup yesterday.
They beat Pakistan and it was a close match. Needless to say there was much rejoicing and everyone was in a good mood today. -
So much great food!
I've been a fan of Indian food for a while now. Having it here wow! I suspect I will return a few pounds heavier. -
Fender bender
I have been wondering why I haven't seen more accidents given how close the quarters on the roads are. I'm not wondering any more my cab got side swiped, guess the horn didn't do much good in this case. -
Major Jet Lag
The time difference of 12.5 hours has really got me now. Must stay awake a few more hours...
