Are there spoilers? I was really careful not to talk specifically about the film... Hrmmm. I'll have to look at it again. Thanks for the heads up though.

Yeah my foot sucks and I need to replace it with a wooden foot.... LOL

Since you are in pain, I won't make fun of you. After all, I am not that heartless. So as your friend, I'll try to find a bootleg copy of it here on the streets of NYC and bring it to you in 2 weeks. Hopefully, the second time around and with a lot less pain, you'll enjoy it more. Because I loved it when I saw it first time around back in...JULY! Anyhow feel better, Benn.

Interesting review of Serenity. I've been hearing too many people go on like the movie is the second coming of Sci-Fi Christ, so it's nice to a hear a more discerning, critical review of it as a film, rather than as an event. Hopefully I'll be checking it out soon and we can compare notes--maybe across a nice plank stained with ale, stout and foam.

Don't sweat Wizard World if you didn't make it--you've been to better shows. The fact that Boston finally got a big show after several years is nice, but the whole thing felt like (despite the fact that it was announced a year ago) it was thrown together in a couple of months from whatever was left over from Chicago Con. I left with a neglected, red-headed step-child vibe when I was there Friday--like my new school clothes were hand-me-downs from an older brother.

Anyway, feel better and don't push it--take the down time and let your foot heal up right. Talk to you soon!

And stop getting all wet over Michael Bay--you worry me sometimes...

I am so glad that you finally got to see the movie.

My personal theory is that the movie is what the final season or final episode of the TV show would have been. I don't recall if you watched Angel, but when Joss was told that the show was being cancelled, he basically ended with a two-part episode that felt rather rushed. It seemed to me that he had taken the story line for the final season he had envisioned and shoved it into the series finale. I got the same feel from Serenity.
