CHANGE OF PLAN just sanji and elicia for a bit |DbasobouyoJune 18 2011, 07:46:09 UTC
[It's a nice day to go outside, and an even nicer day to visit the lakes and whatnot. And after a relatively calm time the two make their way back, Elicia just a curious and excitable leap and run in front of Sanji.
But unfortunately, when she walks into the next clearing, just as she presses through the bent thicket-Sanji probably not too far behind-she doesn't find a squirrel to watch scamper up a tree. She finds one lying limp on the ground. Followed by a bird... and a lot more things she doesn't care walk toward for an actual view.
She takes a terrified step back, voice really low, but she can't seem to get her eyes away from the scene to run back to the chef.]
[Defensive? That's scary. And to see the tense air around the two of them when she peaks out from behind the tree trunk... Something bad. It's something bad, and she needs to stay behind the tree, like Sanji said. But even so-]
B-big bro?!
[She doesn't move. He said not to, so she won't. A target's a bad thing, though. It's a bad thing, isn't it?]
[Someone must be watching over Elicia today besides Sanji--that or it's thanks to the man's actions that the girl's cries continue to go unnoticed by the Murakumo.]
Incorrect. [...and then she continues:] Threat levels determined. Preparing to engage in battle.
What the-- Elicia, don't-! [Still slow steps. Can't move too fast. Until he sees what she's capable of he won't dare go darting through the trees; not if it means she might target the child instead]
[Maybe you should have her start running, too. She can sense your power, Sanji. Why haven't you attacked yet? Don't you want to protect Elicia? She's out to kill everyone; little girls are no exception!
But if you won't attack, she will. Your very existence provokes her.] Executing termination protocol.
[With one large blade, she swings at Sanji, intending on cutting the poor guy in half.]
[If Sanji were completely sure you wouldn't go mowing down said little girl, he'd have her run. B|
... But this woman seems more than happy to give Sanji's ribcage a shave, so maybe he should rethink his previous caution. He flips backward when she swings, landing on his feet and backing up to keep distance between them.]
So you're not the talking-shit-out sort, huh? [His hands slip into his pockets, looking far more poised than he feels. Then he raises his voice, to Elicia again. His previous worries aside, he's not going to have a five-year-old watch a match] Elicia-chan. Get back into town or deeper into the forest.
[Her ears pick up Elicia's cries, and it only fuels her anger. It's because of herself. She's scaring someone, and Kusanagi can't help but feel empowered. Good. They should know to fear her.
It's a good thing she's too focused on Sanji to react accordingly. No, dear, she's the type to talk things out with violence.
The Murakumo summons two orbs high in the air, focusing solely on Sanji as they move wildly downward and shoot at him. If he's not careful, they'll end up crashing into him from behind--exactly what Kusanagi wants, as she's about to grab the poor bastard.]
I know you're scared! [Three enemies now. A smarter man would be concerned with uneven numbers, but Sanji's smirks hard and is suddenly grateful he gets to take out his fear and rage on something genderless. The speed of the orbs are quickly noted -- painfully slow, he won't have trouble out-maneuvering them -- but they shot lasers, of course, and with a yelp he has to do some sidestepping to avoid being riddled with energy shots.]
Elicia, you still have to run! [The first orb swerves, and Sanji punts it like the shitty, crystallized soccer ball it is, but the second one collides into his back and trips him forward before he realizes what's happening]
Don't hurt him!! [Comes the first panicked cry out of her mouth, but the demand sinks in and she grips her journal in her hands and stumbles backward into a run, hopping unsteady over roots and branches and rock.
She doesn't run too far-she can't just leave, because she needs Sanji. She's alone without him to take her home, and he will take her home, because he's so strong, he won't get hurt like papa had -
Breathless, she opens her journal and goes to the first person she can think to speak to. She won't run away. She'll get help! As long as she can get help, everything will be okay.]
[Ignoring the fact that one of her targets escaped (she'll get to her later), Kusanagi swoops in toward Sanji. Him stumbling forward only made things easier as she grabs the man by the neck and picks him up off the ground with one hand.
Without a second thought, she controls the swords so that they all surround Sanji, striking him at once.]
He doesn't scream, or fall to the ground once she discards him. Rather he stumbles backwards into a tree, and the joining of ripped flesh and bark sends shocks of numb pain down his spine.
Heh. Sloppy, Sanji. But he grins and lets himself bleed freely from the decoration of gashes that have ruined his shirt and torso, seeming to reek of self-satisfaction. She got away. That's one little girl he won't have to worry about - meaning he can focus his attention on his opponent]
Not bad, Noel-chan. [His smirk grows, edged with remorse, and then he flings himself onto a branch to dart through the trees - but not so fast that he loses sight of her. Between himself and Elicia, he'd rather she stay focused on him being hard to hit.
[Sorry, but you could say she's fighting with a biased pacifist.
With enough distance gained (or so he hopes), Sanji stops, ignoring the constant drum of pain, and pushes himself against the tree trunk with the intent of letting foliage keep his cover secret.
He really hopes Elicia doesn't forget to send help while running off. The layer of realism seated just under his pride and smart-ass humor weighs the damage he's gathered so far, and gives him another ten minutes if he can keep her off and maybe hit a dead-run for the village.]
[There won't be much time for himself, unfortunately. because mu is a dirty cheater sob Because as soon as her sensors go off in the direction he stopped in, she'll be quickly heading over there.
Give her a minute--it won't be long until there's a Godslayer looming below Sanji. And what's she going to do? Attempt the same thing she's been doing since she first woke up.]
Target located. Continue assault. [...so what if her voice gives it away? Kusanagi doesn't care! From the ground and the help of her blades, she'll slice through that branch Sanji was resting on. AND ISN'T IN THE TREE WITH HIM DAMMIT SELF]

She crouches low into her knees, hands over her ears, breaking into a stifled cry of fear]
I-I can't!! I'm scared!
[you said not to move, I can't move, if I move I'll see the animals or she'll get mad at me and hurt me...!]

Pursuing. [The only real issue now is being able to actually reach him. She's down here, and he's... somewhere in the treetops.
Why won't he fight?]
