CHANGE OF PLAN just sanji and elicia for a bit |DbasobouyoJune 18 2011, 07:46:09 UTC
[It's a nice day to go outside, and an even nicer day to visit the lakes and whatnot. And after a relatively calm time the two make their way back, Elicia just a curious and excitable leap and run in front of Sanji.
But unfortunately, when she walks into the next clearing, just as she presses through the bent thicket-Sanji probably not too far behind-she doesn't find a squirrel to watch scamper up a tree. She finds one lying limp on the ground. Followed by a bird... and a lot more things she doesn't care walk toward for an actual view.
She takes a terrified step back, voice really low, but she can't seem to get her eyes away from the scene to run back to the chef.]
[Hm. He's suddenly thinking that it's time to move! The slash misses him as he darts for it, but detached branches don't hold weight very well. Down he goes with it, crashing into the ground, and landing awkwardly on his knees and forearms]
[It doesn't get anymore awkward when Kusanagi decides that the best way to keep him from moving is by slamming her armored foot down on his back, hard. The Murakumo glares down at Sanji. This entire situation--with the running and the crying and the odd familiarity--it's been making her more and more angry. Is that even possible?]
[Out of instinct, she does, thankfully. If she hadn't, the lightning bolt would have likely struck her--and with armor what armor like hers? It isn't a good idea to stick around.
Of course, now she's lost her target and he has the ability to flee, again.]
... But his speed is markedly slower than before, nowhere near the power-run from his last retreat. That last move was... Heh, the words insanely stupid come to mind as he keeps his body going despite the sharp protest of his muscles and tendons. He hasn't pulled a move like that in months, and the jerky beating of his heart warns him against trying again.
But he had to. The moment she catches him, the moment it's over.]
[Sanji's in range; that beam of light punching him straight in the back tells him so.
The blast knocks him off his feet and lands him on his stomach, wind knocked out of him and throat starting to choke on blood. Sloppy again, Sanji. Still he tries to get up, but this damn body of his isn't quick to cooperate. He only manages to pull up to his knees and hands, coughing up spits of red.]
[Especially with the way he moves, Kusanagi knows that there's no need to rush in and catch up with him before he potentially runs again, so she'll take her sweet time to float over by his side, completely silent the whole time.
...
Sloppy is right. You're an S-class threat, so why haven't you ever retaliated? Because of those actions, here they are, a sword likely to enter Sanji's gut in a few moments.]
[Despite the very real danger he's in, Sanji nearly chokes on a bitter laugh at her commentary.]
Funny. I wasn't -- [He sucks in a breath, jerks to his feet on pure adrenaline] -- much of a threat to begin with. [Not looking so hot now, is he? He cradles one of the bleeding wounds across his chest with a hand, breathing hard and just watching her]
[It shouldn't come as a surprise, but Mu won't allow Sanji the time to talk any further... but he was already aware of that, wasn't he? He's already lost his chance.]
Eliminating target. [The swords move, now poised toward Sanji's form.]
[One by one? How kind of her. And here Sanji expected them all to shoot at once.
He's tired and can't feel half his body, but his response is automatic: each sword that edges too close gets kicked away before hitting their mark, back to their owner.]
[... Save that last one, which finds a happy home in Sanji's side.
When it dislodges, it's odd enough that Sanji's still standing, but he's bowled over and gripping weakly at the wound that's coloring his outfit more red than black, even more than before.
Shit... Can't die. He can't - because you're gonna hate yourself enough for this]

Sorry, Noel-chan. But you're not my captain.
[The bolt of lightning that erupts from the ground up? It won't hit her as is flies straight through Sanji's body, but it's gonna look like it might.
She might wanna step back]

And with the abilities she possesses? She won't need to run much, either.
Her arm extending forward, a beam of light shaped similarly to a sword shoots out from seemingly nowhere. If Sanji is within range, well...]

The swords rise above her in a spinning circle, attempting to strike him down one by one.]
