Exersize extreme caution with regard to the Bus. There is no assurance that there will be empty seats.
If it's Greyhound, they don't make any attempt to jive the number of folks who have signed up for seats with the number of seats physically existant on the bus. (When I tried to leave Springfield towards Houston TX, they had two seats for about twenty people. Next departure being 12 hours later.)
I think the only real fix action is to arrive early, and be aware that placement in line actually counts for something. As opposed to placement in line at an Airport, where they keep better tabs on reservations.
Also be aware that last I knew, busses don't allow any pocketknives anywhere. Just something you probably don't want to be surprised by.
It's good that the work is enjoyable. (I'm working at Dollar General as a Summer job, it's passable.)
