Life is such a beautiful, wonderful, crazy thing. Like the old adage, 'April showers bring May flowers', one day you're plugging along, kinda bored but hanging in there with the day-to-day of it all, and then you realize that so many plans you've been working on really ARE coming together. Progress has been continuing on the most detail-ridden costume I've ever undertaken. I recently completed (it's a relative term right?) the belt and tabard pieces that hang in front of the skirt. So I've been having some issues with depression lately and getting bogged down both creatively, and in the use of my free time. I'm trying to gird myself for the start of my final semester of grad school, and I gave up on using this reprieve for productive things like organizing closets, a new portfolio website or making photo books. Instead I'm being super selfish and doing projects I want to do... namely, new costumes for next year's con!

Comic Con 2012 Recap
So we've already established that I'm a terrible at this. We went to San Diego Comic Con and the word that best describes the trip is: EPIC. In every possible way this trip was incredible. The media, the panels, the people, the stuff. It was one giant sensory explosion.

Nausicaa SDCC Costume Reveal
Well, I've been writing a final all evening and for the time being, I've had enough. This is kind of a shame, there's a lot left to do.
