Since my last post, I've had an additional interview that went fairly well. Despite that, I did not get a callback. The principal made it fairly clear that they would make their decision that day and notify whomever they picked that afternoon. I had a job interview yesterday, and while it wasn't the worst by any stretch, I feel like I didn't sell myself as best as I could have. I am disappointed with myself.

The 2-week Summer Academy (I mentally tack "of hell" to the end of that every time I hear/see/say it) has come to a close. Holy geebus, the exhaustion level alone by the time Friday afternoon arrived - it was crazy. I still have 4 more days of practicum to get through, but compared to the past two weeks it will be cake. Saturday was an incredibly exhausting, but awesome day. The drive back to middle Tennessee was nostalgic; I grew up in those rolling hills, and the terrain of east Tennessee is more different than you'd expect. I'm all graduated. Don't get me wrong. But I'm doing summer classes for an ESOL endorsement to my teaching license. I wondered if it was going to pan out, because they were kind of slow on the funding.
