How annoying to have finally finished your dress uniform, just in time to transfer to a new regiment, that I assume has a totally different uni? Not much call for spurs on the cyber-highway ;) At least you have the chance to wear it on the weekend's parades.
Fortunately I get to keep my uniforms - the relevant unit is a recent creation (a "group", rather than a regiment) and so you keep your current capbadge and uniform. Most people come from a specific corps, but others are welcomed to create links outside the group.

V is already British, bizarrely enough. As the child of two permanent residents, she gets citizenship automatically.
And Y can apply now based on my citizenship, or in a few months on her residence. No big deal either way.

Good luck on the job applications.
