Who knew The Enlightenment was so boring? If History doesn't begin to interest me really soon I'll end up failing this class, proof of this is evidenced in the AMAZINGLY AWESOME NOTES I took during class, here, have a looksee: Clicky click. Cool, ne? By the way, above the spiderweb it says "science," because, I don't know why. Maybe 'cuz the ( Read more... )

Enlightenment was uber boring time. :P Go for ancient/early medieval stuff. Much more fun. hehehe

Hurricane is supposed to kinda just give our area a glancing blow, so we'll probably only end up with tropical storm winds. Saturday through Sunday will be verrrrry interesting! :P

Enjoy the film fest!! I wanna go toooo. :::sniffles & hugggs:::

The Enlightenment wasn't too bad. Luckily my professor kind of breezed through medieval/Renaissance/Enlightenment/Reformation all in one go. My notes were scarier though. He likes to show Michelangelo's(sp?) statue of David, which I then redrew carrying a handbag and wearing a miniskirt with fishnets. The girl next to me kept staring at my notebook. I was taking real notes too! I just had an urge to draw in the meantime.

That's so cute!! Metrosexual David would be pretty cool! My history class is moving really fast from one topic to the other so it's hard to get really interested. It's "history of civilazations" so we're not studying one certain era of time, rather we're studying everything after 1700. Drawing in class is fun and a stress reliever and sometimes, I think I learn better that way than just copying stuff that is told to me. I don't know. I'm sure your notes are way cute though!

I think David's hopped on the transexual train more than the metrosexual one at this point XD. He certainly had nice legs, though. My class is 1500's onwards, so we started back a bit more. I have a very difficult time with history because I can't remember names and dates very well, so sometimes doodling helps me focus :).

Your notes are great! I would so go to your gallery showing. I've definitely seen things at gallery showings that interested me less!
