It is, I know. I used to reject it all together as being stupid. But then I realized that I apply the same principal to things in my life, like meat eating. I despise the fact that people eat animals but that doesn't mean that I hate the person who is eating them. I understood what the Catholics had been trying to say about gay people. Personally, I don't care if someone dislikes me because of gay reasons, I only have a problem when that person tries to pass laws against me, beat me up, keep me from my rights, hurt my property, things like that. What bothers me most is that, at least here in the States, there is a lot of bigotry between lesbians. I've been put down and treated like dirt because they classify me as a "lipstick lesbian" and for some reason the fact that I dress like a girl and have pretty hair and where some make-up somehow makes me less than them. ::shrugs:: That bothers me more than some jerk sitting in his apartment calling me a queer.
sorry to just pop into your journal, but i was trying to find a definition for Spiritus sanctus in nomine- your journal came up on a google search. could you please tell me what it means? thanks!
Well, from what I can gather (and I don't speak Latin) it roughly means: "sacred spirit in name only." I couldn't find a translation either and so I asked a Latin-learning friend of mine who translated it for me. So yeah! That's what it means! *smile*
