I worked for several years in a place where several staffers would stomp and cry anytime the breakroom TV was not on, tuned to Fox, and turned up to eleven.
Certainly, there were times that I entered the breakroom and no one was yelling at anyone. But they just couldn't keep up the charade for the amount of time it took to get a glass of water or a slice of cheese. I can think of multiple times that Bill O. had inappropriately cut someone's mic and/or yelled "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP" over these little three-minute spans, but I can't remember any breakroom visits when the TV stayed civil the whole time.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing the other day. I don't even watch clips of it on the Daily Show without muting, it's just too unpleasant. Maybe they'll eventually escalate to physical violence in order to keep people's attention; that would be much more watchable.
