It seems like either the kids are getting more hearing impaired by the day, or I am losing my ability to maintain control as we near Thanksgiving. Man, I can't wait for our trip home. Parent Teacher Conferences started tonight...went until 8:30. It was a long day of talking...my jaw is hurting from it. Tomorrow night I'll go until 6:30, and then I'll be done for the next six months. And it is likely that I will be out of the classroom by then. Been a good start to the week. I am a little bit tired (but really working the coffee while on my lunch break). Assessments continue to drain me of any hint of motivation. It's been another long week thus far. We've had several interactive interviews in my room (trying to find someone to take over my position), but so far, no luck. Today the girl that came in was dressed in a white tshirt with a black bra underneath. And her bra was so tight, that she was falling out of the top of it. She was young. It looks like the promotion will be happening...but again, I still need to talk to the owner. BUT my director talked to her tonight, and discussed the "possible" promotion. Then she called me. The "difficult" child came in at eleven thirty this morning, right before lunch and rest time, and for the majority of rest time, I restrained said child. The car is running beautifully, reports the hub. I'm hopeful that it has another year or two at least in it. And after the car part ($500) and a tow ($55....reimbursable through our insurance), we were only charged $30 or so for labor. Amazing. They were good to us. And God spared our bank account.
