First I got rid of my myspace mail (there's a permanent message telling people to email me directly) and I've been wittling down my friends list and now I've whittled it down to just groups I'm interested in (and Ted D'Ottavito, because I like his pictures). This weekend was kind of amazing. I used some of the skills I learned in Seattle and applied them to the class. They were skills I use, but I was having a hard time teaching or articulating them, and by taking other peoples classes, hearing how they said things, how they used examples and ideas and seeing how they use workshopping, was really ( Read more... )

I was very, very bummed out that the Yard Dogs were going to be in Denver when I'm in San Fran for Teaseorama, but joy of joys, I opened up their most recent e-blast and discovered that they'll be in NYC, playing at the Spiegeltent when I'm there! Wheeeee!!!! Yippiiiiieee!

Ah, the cool is drifting in like a sweet fog-- that night chill that whispers 'autumn' before the days are ready to give up summers heat. I should sleep, and the breeze wants to help me sleep, but I want to savor it, it feels too good, on my damp hair, my warm skin, the lids of my eyes. Goodnight.

 Teaching a room full of giggling girls how to bump and grind followed by a great dinner with favorite friends does a world of good.

The Funeral will be held Thursday (8/7) at the Colorado Community Church  (2220 S. Chambers Rd. Aurora Colorado) at 11:00 am.
There will also be a memorial held at Three Kings Tavern (60 South Broadway, Denver) starting Thursday at 8:00 pm.

I made it to the pre-TO tiki party. TIki Fink has a really fabulous back yard and Joey and Pam and Aaron and I all had a few tiki drinks and yummy food. Finding out about Amy in the midst of a crowd, down on Broadway at first seemed like the worst place in the world, but comforting arms, seeing others who shared time with her, who love her, who were also in total shock, made it the best place to be.
