Liam Stuart was born on Oct 20 at 10:36 am. He was 8lbs 1oz, 20" long with a 14" head and 13 1/4" chest circumferences. Both him and Mom are doing well. More to come when we get out of the hospital which will most likely be Sunday or Monday.

After much scrambling we have found a Doctor who will perform the Cesarean who we really like. She has 20 years experience and even has experience delivering breech babies. Being a first timer, the risks are more than we can take to try to have this type of breech delivered vaginally. I have made peace with our decision and know in my heart that ( Read more... )

Friday was interesting. The chiropractor did the Webster technique, acupuncture (Bladder 67 & another spot for helping labor), and I've been taking Pulsatilla since then. Unfortunately, he has not turned. I'm going back tomorrow. (College try and all that).

While it makes no sense to beat myself up for discontinuing internal exams (because it may have bought us more time), I want to a little. But if I had to do it again, I don't think I'd change that.

5% of woman deliver on their due date. 3-4% of babies remain breech at term. Guess which percentage I'm falling under?

Dr. appt. was yesterday and I consented to another internal exam as I haven't had any real progress and we wanted to see where we were. The Dr. felt what turned out to be toes. I went in for an ultrasound and a pelvic x-ray ( Read more... )

As of Wed. I had one week to go. Supposedly. I wouldn't be surprised if I went over my due date - still no contractions. My EDD is Oct. 12 and my U/S EDD is Oct. 8 (tomorrow). I guess I'll just wait and see. I'm stopped avoiding doing squats - not that I think that is making any difference. Supposedly squats can bring on labor.

Friday night & Saturday morning I felt some cramping that really wasn't bothersome. I'm getting hopeful that it won't be too much longer now. Last Tues. I didn't feel ready, but I do feel different now. Even bigger for one, and also closer in a way I just can't describe.
