Dad's treatment is almost done. Looks like it worked. Contemplating what to do next with my life. If I get this really nice job I'm up for, I might just work and save up a few grand for a while.

Dad is still doing good. He feels almost normal again. At the clinic we will actually walk by some of the older people who shuffle along. His feet swell up a lot but that was to be expected. Otherwise things seem to be going well. I might be able to get a job sometime soon.

The treatment dad's been on is working. He's even able to walk from the car to the doctor's office now. Its up and down but he's doing a lot better. First time I've seen someone almost die and they didn't.

Dad's been out of the hospital for a week now. Still weak and sick but not as bad. His medication lost effectiveness so they've got him on other drugs now. He'll have to have a chest catheter and get pumped full of three different drugs from IV drips over a 3 day period every two weeks for, well, the rest of his life. Put dad in the hospital tonight. Stomach is still giving him issues and he's as weak as a kitten. He was moaning all the way on the car ride. They're checking him in and going to see what exactly is wrong with his stomach. Set him up a saline drip and injected something for his nausea and made him feel a whole lot better than he had in a few ( Read more... )

Nothing new to report. Taking care of my sick dad. He's almost as thin as those concentration camp victims. Some days he feels almost normal others he can barely get out of bed. Think he needs another round of antibiotics to help squash the stomach infection he's been fighting off. Been playing D&D once a week with some friends, but not really ( Read more... )

Made it back home. Dad really has been very sick lately. He says he's doing better now but he's still having problems. Of course its being made worse by the notion that his current ailment is due to his medication losing its effectiveness. I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow and hoping that the doctor will be able to help out.
