The subterfuge of meeting in plain sight is so wonderfully old fashioned and charming and I enjoyed Merlin's joking and trying to get to know Arthur a bit. They're going to be working closely together, so they really should learn to get along. I, too, was left wondering at Merlin's mercurial shifts in emotion. Was he angry that the British don't trust him? Well, of course they don't trust him, he's been spying for the Soviets for a decade.

It's all very entertaining.
