Apparently the Pasadena/Altadena bus system doesn't run as frequently as it does in LA.  I learned this out the hard way when I gave myself an hour to travel four miles to my internship.  I waited forty minutes for a bus only for it to take me two blocks and then have the driver kick me off so he could go on his break. Last night I moved in with my new homestay: a Japanese-American family in Altadena.  Just one day was enough to remind me of what little experience I have with very young children.  The Egami's have a two year old son, and a 6 month old son.  It's really scary holding a baby when you haven't held one for years, especially when he likes to squirm ( Read more... )

Plans for Ecuador are very slowly moving along. I have a ticket....and I'm told that host family and internship will be good to go when I get there, I just haven't gotten any confirmations that are needed to finish all the preliminary paper work with APU.
