From the people I've called, I am the only person with power. I'm at my house in Niceville, not my apartment in P-cola. It appears that Ft walton has no power, bluewater has no power and P-cola has no power. Somehow though, we still have power. I was really surprised too because the damage by my house is really bad

Oh I'm sure your stuff is fine. Those new dorms at UWF are built like rocks I'm sure. And I wouldn't be too worried unless you were on the ground floor, so yeah.

Well, it was Sunday, but it looks like.. well, the airports might be shut down. If they are, theres nothing I can do. If they aren't, I guess I'll be headed back then. I don't know... I'm worried.

Why are you worried? If the airports are shut down, I'm sure the school will be too, so you won't miss any school...I don't think...I don't know. haha I think by tomorrow you'll be able to find out more about how things are fairing down here.

I've learned my lesson with Hurricane parties: Do NOT have them with your family. Expecially when you add your grandparents. NOT a good idea. I should have gone to a friends house because I honestly think I might go mad and I've only been at home for 48 hours or so. ARGH!!!!

Haha aww. Hurricane Frances was a bitch for me, cus I had planned on getting drunk since it was moving so slow and supposed to last a day or two, but then my recovering alcoholic uncle decided to stay with us during it :(.

I never lost power!!! Haha. Honestly. The lights flickered and whatnot but it always came right back on! :-)

So I had TV all night long..well some of the channels got whacked out, but FUSE was still going and it was "Warped wednesday" so I was happy. 4 hours of skinny white boys playing guitars *sigh*

Yes. Especially if they are coming somewhere kind of close? Maybe? Tally? New Orleans? Even Jacksonville isn't as far as Orlando/Tampa.

My dad has only called us once, and all he said is that there is significant damage and at least one tree that went on my house...so if the roads clear and you feel like taking a drive...drive by my house and see if it's alive...my dad has tendency to not tell us how bad things are cause he doesn't want us to worry...which makes it worse.

i don't know if you have cable, but that bridge isn't just closed over escambia, it's pretty much destroyed in a few parts...so yeah...won't be drivin over that for a while

and highway 98 is pretty much busted out completely...worse than opal i believe...which sucks...haven't seen much about destin however...i hope it's alright!

Yeah, I'll try to take a drive by your house tomorrow and see if there seems to be any severe damage. I'm sure it's ok though. I haven't seen any really bad damage besides flooding and your house isn't in a place that would be easily flooded.
