Good point Reido... it's becoming more and more clear to me exactly how easy it can be to forget one of the main "duties" of being a Christian. The problem with that statement is that although it is a "duty"... it shouldn't become a chore. Fullfilling the great commission and above verse you quoted from James, should be something we take delight in. Serving others in His name is our way of, not only showing our love to those we are serving, but also showing our love to the Father. When will obeying become our delight in life? I think it's something every Christian should think about. i've been looking at that type of thing too ( ... )

I agree with the previous reply as well. Jesus desires a personal relationship above and before works. Works should happen but dont make the mistake of Martha.

You know Reid, your LJ posts just rock. I swear everytime I'm going through a rut in the road of my life, you have a verse and some kind of analysis of it that perfectly describes my weaknesses and possibly what it is I'm going through.
