John sat staring at a framed painting on the opposite wall. I'm loving this fic, it's a fantastic exploration of how alcoholism can affect families and the shame and stigma attached to it. I haven't reviewed before because I'm usually reading on my phone at work, but since I'm off sick I thought I'd tell you how much I love this.

I love this fic. Don't feel too bad. I think I love it because I do have an alcoholic sibling, and I can remember the calls we used to get from my brother who had been away at war. When I was a kid I didn't understand it, I just felt angry with him, I do better now. He was always concerned for my safety and I had to keep saying that I was fine.
