Have you ever read Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger? I just finished it and somehow Salinger's magic has been lost on me. Perhaps I'm not thoughtful enough, my I.Q. is too low, or I'm not well versed in abstract concepts. I enjoyed reading it, I understood the significance, but I wasn't wowed.
