This is becoming intolerable. I do not require padding to leave my house; nor do I require warnings for sharp objects, food, or beverages. If I am expected to put up with this for the remainder of this week, I may very well scream.
And to whomever is scribbling 'EXTERMINATE' everywhere, I would greatly appreciate it if you stopped. Immediately.

[While he knew that the main purpose of Fred's visit was more on teh dangerous side, Gai was rather excited for her arrival. He got to start introducing Spring around again. Rather impatiently he awaited her arrival.]

Interesting. The fact that he was back again in the first place was definitely... something.
She drove the speculation from her thoughts as she arrived at Gai's house. She remembered to knock this time, before trying the handle. At least he would have some forewarning this time.]

Come in!
[He turned, glancing at the back room.]
Spring! Someone is here that I think you should meet.
[Then it was back to Fred.]
After we can speak on toasters. Do not worry, I have not forgotten.

Someone I should meet, Father?

She nodded at his reference to toasters, and her smile turned a touch wry.] Oh good. I had wondered. [Not that she would have blamed him. Someone from your past life was a good enough reason to forget things.
Someone from beyond Gai called out--Spring, was it? Fred couldn't see past Gai, and she was still in the doorway. She would have to wait until Gai stepped aside to see the boy... his voice had sounded a bit different from what she remembered. Perhaps it was just that it had been so long?]

He is older than Lotus was, by a few years. But it is still obvious who he is. Spring, this is Fred. She has been a friend of mine since soon after I arrived here, and of Bell's as well. Fred, [there was pride in his eyes,] meet my son once more.

Once his father moved he took in the woman before him. Spring stood up straighter and tried to dig deep for any previous memories he might hold of her. Unfortunately none came to mind, but he did not fall sullen. Instead, he smiled and bowed his head politely, knowing he would make new memories soon enough.]
It is nice to meet you, Fred-san. I am sorry to have left and forgotten you. I do hope it does not happen again.
[At least this was less odd than apologizing to his father for having forgotten him.]
Reply
She nodded back to him, still smiling.] Quite alright, Spring. As your father may have told you, that is the way of things in this place.
Have you been here long? [She doubted it, or she would have heard before now. She was simply making conversation.]

And there is no helping the forgetting when it happens. There is nothing you can do about it; it is entirely the Sphere's doing.
[He didn't answer the question for Spring, figuring that his son was more than capable of answering on his own. They weren't there for too much longer, he and Fred, but he was glad to introduce his son around once again.]

He stood awkwardly before them, glad for the rescue of easy topic of conversation from Fred.] I only arrived a few days ago! Hatching was a strange experience!
[He felt he should say something more, though he hadn't any clue what he should ask at this point. Instead, he focused on something he knew he could say with ease because it was the truth.]
Thank you for befriending my father and Bell-san! I am glad they seem to have many friends here.

Your father is a good man. And so is Bell, though he can be a bit... mmmm. Frivolous from time to time. [More like all of the time, but she didn't need to blacken her friend's name. The boy would find out soon enough for himself.]

[Gai smirked just a little.] I am glad to know that I am not frivolous. And Fred is very nice, too. She has come over so that we can continue a certain conversation that we started the other day, but I wanted you to meet her, and for her to meet you again.

He took his father's words as a dismissal, and gave Fred another polite bow of his head.] I am glad I was able to meet you again, Fred-san. I will let you both get back to your conversation then.
[He turned to leave, then stopped, looking back.] Oh! Would you like for me to make some tea for you both, Father?
Reply
You, frivolous? Perish the thought. [Fred quirked her eyebrow at Gai slightly. She wouldn't mind tea, but she rather thought they weren't going to be staying long... unless Gai had something else to talk about?]

[Eventually, if his son was interested, Gai would explain what he knew of the Sphere and its doings to Spring. But he wanted to protect Spring just a little bit longer. His son was back. Gai wanted to hug this moment to him.
He nodded to the door.] I am ready when you are, Fred.
Reply
[He smiled at Fred.] Please come by again soon, Fred-san. I would very much enjoy getting to know you better.
Be safe! [And with that parting remark, he returned to his room.]
