They are what makes us Swedes make it through the long boring months of January and February *g*. Even if you're not really supposed to eat them until Shrove Tuesday the shops start selling them as soon as Christmas is over ( and yes, there have been sights of some even BEFORE, which is pretty much sacrilege). Home made are the best of course, so it was lovely to be able to serve home baked ones on the very right day.
