I suppose it is about time I introduced myself to you all. My name is Angel Starr, and I will be joining your merry little crew as a chef. Charmed to meet you all, I'm sure.

I must ask, though... does the ship always smell this badly? Did your whole pantry go rotten?

Nice to meet you! I'm Yamamoto Takeshi, also new onboard as helmsman.

The smell you're smelling is probably the durians.

Oh, is that what it is? If they smell that bad, it's no wonder why so many were unloaded on the ship. A smell like that could kill even the greatest of appetites!

A pleasure, Takeshi. Or do you prefer Mr. Yamamoto? Ah, and by any chance, did you have any requests for lunch tomorrow?

Just Yamamoto is fine!

You kind of get used to the smell. My fellow helmsman won second place in the plane races and got a lot of them as a prize. That's why they're on the hsip.

Tomorrow's lunch? Anything's fine! I'm not a picky eater.

Well then, Yamamoto, would you be so kind as to send him my congratulations?

I'll see what I can make with durians. Best to cook with what's already in the pantry before you go out shopping for more.

Pleasure to meet you as well, darling. Grell Sutcliff, boatswain.

And no, no, no. It's just the delicious durians that we won from the races.

We really are going to have to do something about that smell, then. Even if the fruit is still good, that stench is going to make everyone sicker than eating month-old tuna.

Would that be Ms. Sutcliff or Mr. Sutcliff? It is a little hard to tell in text, I'm afraid.

Yes, the fruit is a nice little treat, but I'm sure there is a way to block the smell.

And call me either dear. I treat myself like a lady~

The kitchen should have no trouble overpowering it with the smell of food. But as the rest of the ship... copious amounts of potpourri might do the trick.

Oh, so you're one of those types? That's intriguing. But if you treat yourself as a lady, I think I should do the same, Ms. Sutcliff.

Did you have anything you would particularly like for your lunch tomorrow? I'm taking early requests.

So we're part of the same crew, eh?

I've got no idea why the ship stinks. Didn't even notice 'til you brought it up.

We are. If this is who I think it is, then yes, I'll be bringing some sake with me.

Apparently, it's the durians one of your fellow pilots won in the race.

Sounds like a plan!

Oh, so THAT'S what it is. Not touching those things with a foot-long pole then.

Welcome aboard. I'm Abe, pilot.

The durians taste good.

They had better. If they tasted as bad as they smelt, I would have to file a complaint with Gearship Motors for the supposed prize.

Heh. Sounds good. Souji seems pretty happy with them, though, and so am I.

That's...probably the durians.

It's not too bad when you get used to it, though.

Oh, I'm Sekai. Sekai Saionji, Radio Ops.

So I've heard from everyone else. Is it truly possible to grow used to such a foul scent? I'd rather do something to fix it, even if we only mask it.

It's very nice to meet you, Sekai.
