See, now I have more to say! I'll go paragraph by paragraph because organizing my thoughts at 12:30am will take entirely too long ( ... )

I do wish there was more of Hermione in this book, but I think it was good for Harry to have to do things on his own. I liked the way his character developed in that sense. Even though he was "cheating" without Hermione's help, I think it was good for him to start to come into his own as an adult wizard, instead of relying on her. Because we all know he'll be alone for the final showdown, and she won't be there feeding him answers and spells ( ... )

I think the mentioned at one point that all the time travel devices had been gathered by the Ministry or banned or something like that. It was early in the book and it made me think, 'uh oh, there's going to be something that COULD be changed with time travel that now won't be.'

I wondered about the painting thing, too. That one old headmaster interjected stuff a lot. Will Dumbledore?

Ohhh, I didn't remember them saying that about Time Travel at all, thanks! I knew there had to be some reason they didn't use it.

I really hope we haven't seen the last of Dumbledore.

I was the same way, I finished right before bedtime (actually a little after) but had to find people to talk to.

I totally missed that Rupert comment. I remember Slughorn calling him that, but I didn't put it together! (Though I am not too fond of movie things creeping into the book ( ... )
