As many of you know, we went to New York City this past weekend and had the greatest time.

 It's weird how something will stir up memories.

I read today about Mark Fidrych dying and all of a sudden I was eight years old again.  I remembered things I'd long forgotten.

I had not thought of Fidrych in probably 30 years, but his death made me sad just the same.

I love Jane Austen.   So much.

I think I am going to curl up with Pride and Prejudice in a bit.  A good read on a rainy  day is delicious.

 Today is better.

No real reason why.  I just feel a little less anxious.

We had a blackout last night.  It was fun.  We lit candles and sat in the living room in front of the fireplace.  

We spent four days in Disney World this past weekend.  I don't think I've ever walked so much in my life.  According to Joey's dad's pedometer, we walked over 25 miles.   This was our first trip without a stroller and the kids did great.  Not a single complaint or meltdown.  Amazing.

I worked out three days in a row and did a good job eating well and moderately.

Sometimes I am so stinking proud of my kids.

I am a Hershey Bar.

The code stuff wouldn't work for me.

The whole Va Tech thing has been harder on me today than any other day.  I have such wonderful memories from my years there.  I made some of my best friends there, in West Ambler Johnston.  I met my husband there.  I learned to love education and realized I was smart there.  I love Virginia Tech ( Read more... )
