I think I kind of missed the train on this meme but I think its one of the best ones around and would love if those of you on my friends list would respond.  There are some of you who don't post too often and I would love to get to know you better.  And, for those that I do know well, this is a great little reference tool :)

I'm Jolei (Pixy), 27, married to Mike (Knobby), 29. We are devout Southerners currently transplanted in the cornfields of Illinois. I stay at home with our four pound poodle Ava, and Knobby is a senior software engineer, working on embedded systems programming and mobile devices. Our big drama this week has been the total shut-down of his building site, so this location and his job title might not be true in a few weeks' time! I identify with Amber's above comment re: dialect . . . when we moved here, people would look at us as if we were aliens when we would speak in public!

We were married August 14, 2005, and then moved into our first new house August 1, 2006. My days mostly consist of shopping online, reading (books AND blogs, imagine!), being devoted to my DVR, and performing all the humdrum daily household chores. I know it sounds boring to a lot of people, but I can't imagine anything I'd enjoy doing more.

My name is Maria. I am Italian and live in Staten Island, NY. I am 37 years old, and a lawyer in NYC. I am married to Mark who is also Italian, 38 years old and a lawyer. We met seven years ago at a Christmas party, and couldn't believe that we had grown up only three blocks away from each other and had so many mutual friends yet we never met. We got engaged in September of 2002, and married on April 16, 2004. We closed on our first house and I found out I was pregnant on my husband's birthday on August 25, 2006. On April 22nd, I gave birth to our beautiful little girl Ava Grace who is a mini-me of her Daddy. I just went back to work and we are busy decorating the new house and taking care of the baby.
I am a complete shopaholic and love Disney. I have gone at least once a year since I was a little girl, and have been there over 40 times. I can't wait to bring the baby for Thanksgiving this year.

Hi I'm Heather (26), my DH Steve (24) and I live in Lake Country Wisconsin.

We are high school sweethearts that made it through five and a half years apart during college. We got married on September 24, 2005. This September we will have been together 11 years!! Each day is better than the last and I feel very blessed to be one of the lucky ones who found their soul mate.

I work in commerical insurance and DH is an electrical engineer. We have a 1950's ranch which we adore and love to update and personalize.

We are enjoying our last year of being just "us". This time next year we will start expanding our family.

I enjoyed learning about all of you.

I'm Sarah. I am 26 years old, turning 27 in July. I grew up in Southern CA (Big Bear Lake, Redlands, Santa Barbara) and moved to Auburn, WA when I was 13 years old. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2003 with a degree in elementary education. I met my husband, Patrick, my sophomore year of college in an abnormal psychology class. We became friends, but nothing more as we were both involved in other relationships. We reconnected in 2003 during my senior year of college and have been together ever since. I married my best friend on July 30, 2005 ( ... )

My name is Anita, age 26, marrying my fiance Keith in 2 months!!! Finally! I was one of those brides who transfered from WC to LJ after the boards changed. We had a really long engagement which explains why everyone has a chubby wubby baby now and I am still not married. We're getting married at St. Patrick's Cathedral and the reception is at The Three West Club in NYC. I am a blog and wedding-a-holic! I am also an official blogger on www.weddingbee.com as Miss Snow Pea. I don't really have a wedding theme. It's just a mix of pink, gold, and ivory (with some green accents). Very old, antique, NYC charm was what I was going for ( ... )
