You are totally right, I haven't heard a word about this at all. But I suppose that is not terribly surprising - anything the candidates agree on is not going to get too much time in the news. Shame too, it would be nice if there was more debate about this in general

We have a run-off, but it takes place 4 years from now. If any third party gets 5% of the vote, then at the next presidential election they are considered a 'real' party and get federal funding along with invites to all the televised debates. And poof, a real three party system.
