But I remember not being in a moat! There was this big... pink rock thing, that was covered in plants and... there were slippery vines all over it.

Well, apparently while he was thinking the matter through, Prefect's instinct had taken over, since by this point both of his hands were clamped around the extended wrist of the boy, and he was currently in the process of thrashing the moat into a frenzy of white foam while he tried to drag the boy under.
...Well, now the Prince was definitely not going to come any closer. Damn it.]
