I'm so glad to hear you might be stopping by :p I honestly don't know of any downtown hostels or even how to find them. I'll try to keep my eye out or ask someone. Maybe google it and see if anything comes up? I bet there are websites that publish that sort of info...

yeah i haven't spent very much time on AIM.i'm out doing other stuff, like studying for exams, research, rock climbing, looking for a job. it's all good, but it'll be easier one 1) exams are over and 2) i find employment.
