Obviously, one of the more crucial aspects of any musical is being able to find leads who can both act and sing. Not always an easy thing to accomplish, as the two don’t necessarily go hand in hand.

Well, it's easy if you're willing to look outside a set of well-known film actors...

I think a lot of people were thrown by it not being as joyfully garish as Chicago. Loved Chicago, but it's a lot sunshineier than Nine.

I'm not really a fan of Alfie's Valjean but I do like that they're somewhat thinking outside of the Hollywood A-list.
