A post! Actually, it may be more like a mini-rant. But still.

So I was reading my news feeds this morning when I came across a post on GetReligion (great blog, by the way) about a San Francisco activist group called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Lovely. Wait... were these guys actually Catholic? Because the priest is not supposed to give the Eucharist to non-Catholics... And they don't sound very Catholic to me...

And who would do that, really? What a juvenile way to go about things. What were they trying to prove, anyway? I don't get it. Dudes in nun outfits? Was it like a gay/transsexual rights thing or something?

I don't know if they were. I doubt it. But it's not like the priest (actually, bishop in this case) actually asks. They assume that, if you're there, you're showing some basic level of respect.

And, yeah, they are. (Both apparently juvenile and a gay rights group.)
