I just ran into a wall. It was skillful.

Anyway.

There's still snow everywhere and this is probably one of the coldest days of the year. But if robins are a sign of spring then spring is on the way. There are about twenty redbreasts hopping around in our yard, congregating in the spaces where the sun's melted the snow. It's adorable.

So it's time for a thunderstorm. I got an arcing shock from my car door at about four inches that I could feel all the way up to my shoulder. I tend to be highly static, but this is just silly (and kinda painful ( Read more... )

Happy St. Nicholas Day, everybody!

Visual art...isn't really my thing. I appreciate (some) of it, and I enjoy it, but I don't have the amazing patience required to study or create it. That said, this is absolutely amazing and makes me want to run out and buy a pile of junk from which to create my masterpiece (because the contortions of the other style look kinda painful).

I love the way the world looks when the sky right above is black and stormy, but the sun is low enough on a still-blue horizon that it streams in underneath the storm-cap. Evergreens are especially pretty in this light. It makes me really happy, for some reason.

Okay, I'm over it (mostly).
