"Please," DG whined. She was trying everything, from clasped hands to the frowny pout to the puppy eyes. "It's just for two hours, one time." Over in the corner, Wyatt was ducking his head, trying to be quiet.
"I can hear you," Garrett said, glaring over his shoulder. Wyatt bit his lip, but that didn't stop his whole body from shaking with laughter.
"Please, Mister Gare," DG said in a childish-tone. "It's for the kids."
Garrett blinked slowly and let out a slow breath. His eyes shifted slightly as Wyatt gasped for air and wiped at his eyes. "On one condition, Princess," Garrett said and raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly.
The sudden silence made Wyatt's head pop up. "Aw, hell..." he muttered.
Adora leaned over to tie up her boot as Wyatt moved around the back corner of the jail that served as his home. Raising her eyes slightly, Adora followed his movements for a moment then looked back down to her boot. With a sigh, she pushed herself up from the cot and stepped in front of Wyatt.
"Are you all right?" she asked, grabbing his hands and ducking her head slightly to catch his eye. "You're jumpier than a Guild Fighter, Sheriff," she told him with a crooked smile. She could see the muscles in his jaw clench as Wyatt tried to avoid looking at her. Half a second later, his eyes moved to hers and he pulled her close.
"This is bad," he mumbled, leaning forward to press their foreheads together. Adora couldn't help but smile.
"You never shared your bed with a girl and had to deal with her the next morning?" she teased. Wyatt's non-answer caused her to frown and pull back slightly.
"What?" Wyatt asked, his eyes sparkling slightly as she stared at him. "Is it so hard to believe I'm a

"Wyatt?" Hilary asked, arms crossed and glaring at him from the doorway. When he looked up, she raised an eyebrow. "Why exactly is my daughter in a time out?" Wyatt returned his gaze to the newspaper article he'd been reading and reached for his mug.
"And how was the Garden Club luncheon, Hil?" Wyatt asked, ignoring her question and taking a sip of his tea. At the sound of Hilary Booth getting agrier, Wyatt let out a breath and set his drink down, then folded up the paper and pushed himself out of the chair.
Moving over to the doorway, Wyatt stopped next to Hilary and gave her a look. "Because you told her not to go behind the candy counter. Twice." Stepping away from Hilary, Wyatt moved over to the coat rack, just inside the door of the Singer-Sherwood's Emerald apartment.
Adora moved into the bedroom as Wyatt yelled through the door. "What's going on?" she asked DG and Garrett. Garrett made a face and waved at the bathroom door while DG leaned toward the door again.
"Come on, Cain. You promised."
"Like hell I did!" the three of them heard from the other side of the door. Garrett rolled his eyes and waved DG aside.
"Quit acting like a little girl! Man up and put on the damn tights."
"You put on the damn tights!" Adora's eyes widened at the tone of Wyatt's voice. She pointed at Garrett and gave him a look. 'Out' she mouthed and pointed at the hallway again. As Garrett backed away from the door, Adora knocked

"Mommy," Kenna asked, moving over to the chair Adora was sitting in.
Adora hooked her finger over the edge of the book and looked up. "Yes, Munchkin?"
"Can I have some cocoa, please?" Adora smiled and nodded.
"That sounds wonderful." Kenna smiled and Adora reached for the small ribbon she was using to hold her page. "Would you like to make it, Ken?" The small flash in Kenna's eyes made Adora smile as she closed the book.
Standing up, Adora set the book down on the chair and pulled Kenna toward her. As Kenna's cheek pressed against her hip, Adora put an arm around her and looked down. "I can't wait until you're a few inches taller, kiddo, so that I can kiss you from here."
"Mama," Kenna grumbled. Adora laughed and nodded toward the kitchen.

"Will you get this stuff of my face, 'dor?" Wyatt asked as he moved into the bedroom and tossed the hat onto the bed. Adora waved him into the bathroom and motioned for him to sit on the counter.
"Wait," she said, turning him toward her, "take off the coat." Adora watched as Wyatt shrugged out of the green elfin jacket. As he hopped up onto the counter, Adora reached down and helped Wyatt's feet out of the green slippers. She gave them a shake and saw his eyes roll slightly as the bells tinkled.
"Did the kids have a good time?" she asked, stepping between his legs and reaching around Wyatt for the jar of cold cream Hilary had given her for removing makeup.
"They did," he said in a monotone. Adora smiled and straightened.
"Did you have a good time?" she asked, trying to bite back the smile as she unscrewed the lid on the jar

At the sound of DG's fit, Az set her book down and slowly moved to the library door. DG was in the middle of the hall, pacing and mumbling to herself. "Deeg?" Az called to her. "Are you all right?"
DG huffed and gave her big sister an annoyed frown. "He is the biggest... stupid..." Az couldn't help but smile.
"Still hasn't asked?" It didn't take a team of Zone scientists to know just who DG was talking about nor what he hadn't yet done. "Deeg," Az said as she moved toward DG, "come here." She took DG's hand and led her to the nearest window seat.
DG dropped down to the cushion with a flump and groaned. "How much more obvious can I make it? I've dropped hints!" Az simply sat, waiting for DG to get it out of her system. "I mean, I know the guys back home were thick, but God..." she groaned.
"Ask him," Az said simply.
"If he can't get a hundred hints, Az, asking him why he isn't-"
"No, Deeg," Az said, reaching for DG's hands, "Ask him." She smiled at the blank look on DG's face. "I love
