Wild Mind (Revisited)

Above all things, I remember the music.  It's always pinging in pixilated sound bites around in my head and it is every waking thought.  I remember the music even when the memories begin to fade...

You (Manna) were listening to Savage Garden alot when we first started dating.  Lily and I were dancing to Social Distortion's "Born to Lose" when she ( Read more... )

This is especially interesting to me because I haven't purposely listened to music in about a year and a half. I'm sure you'll think that's really odd... because I sure do.

Anyway, excellent post! Good luck with the presentation. =)

Thank you for the encouragement :) Turns out I'm not presenting per se; instead I am mediating the presentation itself from another group and as long as I prepare an overall agenda, the task is cake.

Why did you decide to stop listening to music???

Oh, it wasn't a decision... it just happened slowly over the past 3 years and I honestly don't know why.

I don't really miss it, or maybe when something sparks my interest I'll realize how much I did. Who knows. =P

Anyway, keep writing about what goes on in your brain!

Will do. Manna plans on making the Wild Mind writing exercises a once-a-month thing, but I've found that simple exercise has me chomping at the bit for more. Lately my journal's been quiet because I just wasn't feeling inspired and grew tired of always writing about the career course.

We'll see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

BTW, we may be in the Houston area for a few days around xMas. Surely we could meet up and meet the boy creature, no?

This sounds so lame, but I'm so happy I'm not the only cool chick who listened to Savage Garden way back in the day!
