Have had a busy month

De-mossing the roof and teaching D.Anne to ride a bike. In four weeks she can now out-run me.

When she gets her new bike (with gears!), I will be whistling at her dust...

So have been teaching her safe riding habits.

Eeep! You were up high. But I bet you appreciated having the control of doing it yourself. Love the scarecrow-and-pumpkin photos :-) And yay for speedy biking (and for safety lessons)

Yes it was about 20' down behind me in the photo with the yellow strap, I spent the first period working on that back slope sitting down, even with the safety harness til I got used to it a bit. And made sure i kept the tether nice and short; I wouldn't mind too much dangling like a spider (Halp!), but I disliked the idea of finding that i'd strung everything too long and met the ground anyway...

After some research, shelled out $150 for a dedicated climbing rope from REI and harness from H Despot. The only shortcut was the 7000# town strap, and this seemed a safe enough substitution.

Judging by expressions, i think we might be related.

Both snaggle-toothed as well... The two sprouts are learning to brush those things as children, to avoid some of the issues enjoyed by their parents!
