If I were a Senate Democrat, I'd be saying,
"Confirm Garland now, of we will filibuster every goddam time you turn around."

I'm appalled at what these years are going to normalize. I remember when homelessness became normalized, and now in my town heroin addiction is normalized ... But this is life: no advances are ever permanent. But no setbacks are, either. We just keep trying.

The whole thing has just been a harrah show, to quote some of my long ago NE friends.

We watched the recent remake of The Manchurian Candidate last night, and Pat asked what did it all meant, and my ironic sensa humor burst out, "it means we don't know who the President is..." tho I later had to reassure her that I was being facetious, they haven't quite got micro neuroelectronic implants down yet, to that sophistication (I hope!). Behavior is a lot more than simple stimulus.
