I love your recaps! This is the perfect way to pass the time till April.

A couple of details I got from your screencaps, because I love fangirling:

1. The dress hanging near Blair's mirror in her first scene with Jenny is the one she wears in the pork and cheese scene.
2. Blair's 'what are you doing here?' in the pork and cheese scene mirrors how rudely Eleanor treats Dan when he's looking for Serena later on in this episode. (I'm not sure it's wise to parallel one of the fundamental expository sentences on television, but the show makes several Blair/Eleanor parallels anyways).

Thanks for the comment. Oh, lol, I didn't notice the dress. And, yes, I love Eleanor /Dan interactions and actually Rufus/Blair interactions, because it's like the exact same dynamic as Dair.

LOL, this was great. I honestly haven't rewatched Gossip Girl ever, so this was a great reminder. And made me want to go back. And then I thought about all the Chuck/Blair I'd have to sit through and was put off...

Thanks for the comment. There's surprisingly little Chair (at least in r/ship) in season 1 and it's a well-rounded season. But, I understand. Really the fun for dair only starts in season 4.

Good point! I do recall being quite impressed with the first season of Gossip Girl. It had continuity! It was coherent! Oh, you silly show. :)

Lol your captions are brilliant. I've never actually watched season 1, just the odd early Dan/Blair clip here and there, so this is excellent!
