That's what I thought after thinking about it for awhile, but initially I thought that they were trying to tell us that she was going to stay trapped. Another possibility, assuming she crushed it and as it seems enjoyed it, maybe it's saying that Betty isn't as innocent as she seems and can do the unexpected. So that something else to look forward to.
I never thought about how her naming him Eugene would impact her character for the future, but now that you brought it up it might make her feel connected to him in a way that she doesn't with Bobby.
Don is continuing to really frustrate me. I hadn't interpreted the scene with the May Day pole as him developing an interest in Sally's teacher until the previouslies in this episode, and I was really disappointed. I'm so sick of him having affairs, then having a mini crisis and deciding to focus on his family, and then the next second he's having another affair. It's getting old.
It got old in second season, it would be so awesome to see him get out of that rut. My fingers are crossed that it'll be a storyline about him resisting temptation for once :/ I mean, I much prefer watching him rock in the workplace/try to be a good father at home to watching him fuck around, again. Can't Bobby have been his rock bottom? :/
Betty is kind of a bad mother, but it's tough to blame her, she'd never had much preparation, and she finds it really hard to empathise with anyone, I think? So she wants to be good and she loves the children, but.
I think this season has been really good starting with the third episode and it just keeps getting better. It's not that I didn't like the first couples of episodes; I just think these later ones have been blowing those two out of the water.
I'm not a Betty fan but her coloring is gorgeous and perfect for picspams. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and bright, beautiful wardrobe. So pretty to look at. Same with Joan.
